The Crows Nest National Park is a refuge for wildlife such as echidnas, patypus, swamp wallabies, lace monitors, bandicoots, Petrogale penicillata which is already almost extinct in Queensland.

If you are lucky, you may see a Greater Glider, Feathertail Glider or Sugar Glider swinging between the trees at night. You may also have the chance to hear one of the tricks of a Brushtail Possum or perhaps a Swamp Wallaby by the creek.
Many species of eucalyptus can be found in the Crows Nest Falls. Rare plants such as ionema obtusifolia, Correa reflexa and Kunzea flavescens can also be found in the area.
Crows Nest National Park is best visited after a regular rainfall. Entrance fee to the park is $5.75 per person or $23 per family of up to 8 persons. The camping site needs advance booking through www.nprsr.qld.gov.au or by phone at 13 74 68 (13 QGOV).
