A visit to the Woolshed at Jondaryan will let you step back in time and allow you to experience a slow pace life.

The Woolshed at Jondaryan was built in 1859 and is listed as a heritage site. It is at the center of the Jondaryan Woolshed Historical Museum and Park. It has become one of the major tourist attractions in the area. It is also one of the more popular event venues.

The Woolshed at Jondaryan is available for conferences, weddings and other functions. It is also commonly chosen for school trips. Located 45 kilometers west of the city of Toowoomba, the Woolshed at Jondaryan is the oldest woolshed in Australia. It is still in good working condition.

The Woolshed at Jondaryan includes campsites, shearer’s quarters, cabins and caravan sites. It displays the Australian Wool Industry including historic buildings, equipment, machinery, and collections which have been collected and restored since 1975.

This Woolshed hosts annual events such as the Easter Family Weekend, New Year’s Eve Bush Dance, and the Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears. It is open every day from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. It is only close during the Anzac Day in April 25, the Queen’s Birthday in October 7, and from December 24-26.

At the Woolshed at Jondaryan, you will get to explore over 30 buildings surrounding the museum. The buildings include a cheese factory, a hall, and a school to name a few to give you a glimpse of Australian history.

While at the grounds of the Woolshed at Jondaryan, you will get to experience a relaxed atmosphere. You can tour the area around the museum village at your own pace. If you happen to visit the place on a second or fourth Sunday of the month, you can take the mini train rides.

Admission is $ 10 for adults, $8.50 for Concession, and $5 for children 5 to 14 years old. Admission through gold coin donation is available for residents residing within a 100 kilometer radius from the woolshed.
